Abstract
The electron beam is one of the main components in travelingβwave tubes (TWTs). A study on the influence of the parameters related to the electron beam on smallβsignal gain of TWTs is proposed. In particular, the effect of the variations of electronβbeam voltage, the perveance of the electron gun, and electron beam radius are investigated. A fiveβsection TWT was considered in the study.
