The classical Markov trigonometric moment problem is considered in the case when the moment sequence has periodically repeating gaps. The suggested approach represent a development of the N. I. Akhieser's and M. G. Krein's idea on the relation between the trigonometric moment problem and the Carathe

✦ Synopsis
Abstract
An indefinite trigonometric moment problem is solved using the one‐step completion and the geometry involved in extending factorizations in Kreîn spaces. In addition, a description of all the solutions is obtained as well as a simple characterization of the case when there exists exactly one solution of the problem.
