✦ Synopsis
The intramolecular electron transfer reaction within the binuclear complex formed between tetraamminepyrazinecarboxylatocobalt(II1) and aquopentacyanoferrate(I1) ions is studied in various binary aqueous media at different temperatures. Results could not be explained on the basis of a primitive model. Experimental data were fitted by using a multiparameter regression which shows the important role played by specific interactions on reactivity. 0 1993 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.

## Abstract Salt effects on the reactions [Fe(CN)~6~]^4−^ + S~2~O^=^~8~ and [Ru(NH~3~)~5~py]^2+^ + S~2~O have been studied in media of different dielectric constants constituted by mixtures of water with organic cosolvents. It is known that salt and solvent effects are coupled and, consequently, ca
The ground-state band structure of polydiacetylenes is theoretically studied with the extensional Su-Schriffer-Heeger model supplemented by electron-electron interactions. The results show the following. First, the interval of valence bands (conduction bands) increases because of the electron-electr
