The isothermal solar wind equations are solved for the case where the coronal conditions vary with latitude. It is found that the solutions are not uniquely determined by the base density but require knowledge of the injection angle of the fluid. Even for the case of spherically symmetric density at
The law of solar axial rotation is investigated by the spectroscopic method. Fayes formula: v (~0) = 2,03 --1.6 sin2 ~0 followed from a great number of observations (800 different values of velocity derived from an investigation of 800 spectral lines of different intensity and of different elements)
From photographic recordings of some hundred bright Ca Β§ cells on the solar disk we find evidence for a smaller size of polar cells as compared to equatorial cells by a factor of about 0.9. We do not find an indication of a dependence of the structure of the cells on the heliographic position.
