โฆ Synopsis
The ground-state reverse proton transfer of 3-hydroxyflavone is examined by using picosecond time-resolved transient absorption spectroscopy.
The bottleneck caused by the relatively long lifetime of the tautomer excited state was circumvented with stimulated emission pumping. The reverse proton transfer is determined to occur within 30 ps.
