โฆ Synopsis
This paper deals with the method of analysis for arbitrary radial crack systems. Using the Mellin transform, several fundamental solutions of radial crack system are given. By means of these solutions, we give a general method for solving arbitrary radial crack systems which are loaded by most general loads. In order to illustrate the use of this method, we have calculated several examples by using the analytical method of singular integral equations. We note that the fundamental solutions can be used not only to solve the general Griffith crack systems, but also to study the crack branching and the mixed mode fracture criterion.
