✦ Synopsis
Eye tracking is one of the key problems in controlled active vision. Because of modelling uncertainty and noise in the signals, it becomes a challenging problem for robust control. In this paper, we outline some of the key issues involved as well as some possible solutions. We will need to make contact with techniques from machine vision and multi-scale image processing in carrying out this task. In particular, we will sketch some of the necessary methods from computer vision and image processing including optical #ow, active contours (&snakes'), and geometric driven #ows. The paper will thus have a tutorial #avor as well.
