✦ Synopsis

We propose an unified and simple procedure to extract the paraconductivity, ~u, from the electrical resistivity in cuprate oxide superconductors. As an example, this procedure is applied to Y,Ba 2 Cu 3 0 7 _ o single crystal and granular samples. The resulting ~u is compared wIth two of the mean field approaches actually available.
