✦ Synopsis

We study some conditions for the existence of a free-boundary for two di erent bidimensional models arising in the magnetic conΓΏnement of a plasma. We derive estimates on the size and location of the region surrounded by the free-boundary (known as plasma region) for both models. We also derive su cient conditions for the non-existence of the free-boundary.

## Abstract The existence of a weak solution of a two‐dimensional non‐stationary free‐boundary problem related to flame propagation is established. The main feature of the problem is that the nonlinear coupling of the two parabolic equations occur on the free boundary and has exponential growth.
