✦ Synopsis

The friction forces, occurring in liquid helium II, are studied especially at low velocities in order to obtain information about the possible existence of a critical velocity.

It was concluded, that such a critical velocity indeed appears to occur, its values being given in figure 9. The formalism given in another paper (III) was tested and confirmed by the many data obtained.
