✦ Synopsis

The classical second virial coefficient Bcl for a realistic four-parameter (Woolley) potential and its temperature derivatives are given in terms of well known special functions. Na 2 is investigated as an example. The realistic potential gives good spectroscopic constants %x e and a~; B d agrees well with numerical integration results for a RKR potential up to the dissociation energy.
