## Abstract It is known that every Borel hypersmooth but nonβsmooth equivalence relation is Borel biβreducible to E~1~. We prove a ROD version of this result in the Solovay model.

β¦ Synopsis
The line spring model is simple and accurate for the fracture analysis of part-through and slender cracks which often occur in the components of engineering structures. In this paper, the equivalent relation of the stress intensity factors between Reissner's theory of plates and shallow shells and Kirchofl's theory for the line spring model is deduced. It can be expressed as KR I KC when E = h,'c + 0. A modified line spring model including non-local effects of deformation for the line spring is proposed. Finally, the stress intensity factors for an infinite cracked plate with a part-through crack in tension and a plate containing a rectangular surface crack under uniform shearing are solved by means of the modified line spring model (MLSM).
