✦ Synopsis

The object of this paper is to find the electromagnetic field and the rate of increase of the field energy due to a pair of chargedparticleasoonafter their creation. It is shown that in case of the CEBENKOV radiation, there is a constant rate of increese of the field energy. The power spectrum is similar to that obtained in the usual formulation, where the particles are assumed to be moving with uniform velocity since infinite past.
