## Abstract In this paper, a new and simplified approach is proposed to model a radio frequency integrated circuit (RFIC) inductor in Si technology using Fuzzy Logic. An inductor structure made of a singleβlayer metal ring fabricated on a silicon substrate is considered in the present analysis. The

β¦ Synopsis
The paper presents a revisited energy approach to the theory of a set of n coupled inductors. The hybrid constitutive relations are analyzed. It is shown that the fundamental relation expressing the energy of the system requires a minimum number of coupling terms i f a set of hybrid independent variables is adopted. The hybrid independent variables also allow to represent singular systems having zero magnetizing energy or zero leakagefield energy, or both, and to give a rigorous definition of the ideal transforme,: Exact equivalent networks of both two-and three-winding transformers are presented.
