Abstract
In this paper the index ~2~F~1~‐transform is defined on a space of generalized functions by using the method of adjoints. We prove that smooth functions having suitable asymptotic behaviors around zero and infinite are ~2~F~1~‐transforms of generalized functions.

In this paper we give new representations for the Fourier transform and we establish the relation between those representations and the well known uncertainty principle.
