β¦ Synopsis
Tue residence time distribution for an ideal fluid in a cylindrical vessel with diametrically opposed line source and sink has been obtained by WOOD [l]. The present note shows the derivation of an expression to obtain residence time distribution for the same vessel with a line source and sink in any position on the circumference of the cylinder. The possibility of reproducing this system in practice is also discussed.
