The present work extends the knowledge on the behaviour of high magnesia cements, pure or with pozzolanic additives cured for 8 years in potable water at 18+2°C. For this purpose, clinker containing 10% MgO was prepared in an-appropriate furnace. The raw materials used were all of industrial origin.

The possibilities to determine AFt-(ettringite) and AFm-(monosulphate) in hydrated cement pastes were studied by measuring the intensities of the pertinent DTA and XRD peaks on 4 synthetic AFt preparations, 5 synthetic AFm preparations and on a series of portland cement pastes of different compositi
Effective diffusivities are important in describing corrosion and leaching of contaminants in cementitious systems. An electrical conductivity procedure has been used to measure the effective diffusivities of compounds in cementitious systems containing the additives fly ash, silica fume, sodium sil
