✦ Synopsis

The quasi-particle character off electrons (due to band mixing) in Eu chaicogenides, giving rise to Anderson's superexchange, is involved in order to correlate Mdssbauer parameters to bulk magnetic properties (isomer shifts and hyperfine fields).

In this note we intend to discuss, in the light of recent developments, how the magnetic properties can be correlated to the measured Mijssbauer parameters of EuO, EuS, EuSe and EuTe.
