โœฆ Synopsis

Abstract

In this article an algorithm to generate selfโ€avoiding chains fitting a predefined lattice is described. The lattice has to fulfill some mild conditions but can be one, two, or many dimensional. The chains are random in the sense that they are calculated in such a way that every chain fitting the lattice has the same chance to be constructed.

## Abstract **Summary:** An explicit expression is derived for the distribution function of endโ€toโ€end vectors for a flexible selfโ€avoiding chain. Based on this relation, analytical formulas are developed for the free and internal energies of a chain with excludedโ€volume interactions. Forceโ€“stretch

## Abstract The molecular weight of a Gaussian polymer chain can be obtained from the intercept of the asymptote in a plot of the inverse structure factor 1/__S__(__q__) as a function of the square of the wave vector __q__^2^. Using an ฯต expansion and scaling arguments, we show that in a good solve
