In a recent "1etter"l White and Morrow suggest that the conflicting NMR results obtained by us 2 and by a Swiss group3 on cyclotetraglycyl may be due to the presence of a protonated form in our case. This makes it necessary to draw the attention to some already published facts overlooked by these and other authors and to propose an alternative explanation of the disagreement.
