The 1991 Annual Meeting of the Canadian Society of Cytology was held in Vancouver from June 22 to June 27, in conjunction with the Canadian Association of Pathologists and the World Association of Societies of Pathology. The keynote speaker for the Cytology Symposium was Dr. Peter Vooijs of the University of Nijmegen, the Netherlands. He addressed the Society on the topic of "The future of automation in cytology." He also gave a second lecture entitled "Applications of image analysis and immunocytochemistry in cytopathologic diagnosis."

At the General Business Meeting of the C.S.C., the following slate of officers for 1991-92 was approved by the general membership: Chairman: Dr.
