โฆ Synopsis
Associated flow rule has been commonly assumed in the limit analysis of metal structures. In this paper, aggregates of differently orientated metal crystals with finite elastic constants are considered. The coincidence of the plastic potential with yield surface of these polycrystalline aggregates is theoretically derived from the slip characteristics of single crystals. The deviation of the plastic potential from the yield surface of the aggregate hlcreases with the elastic anisotropy of the individual crystals.

A convenient description of the geometry of slip and the associated kinematics of finite deformation in an elastic-plastic crystal is presented. The physical meaning of the plastic spin is discussed in detail. The problem of uniaxial tension of a single crystal under multiple slip is analyzed, and a
