Abstract

A micromechanics theory is outlined for predicting the elastic and thermoelastic properties of dispersed, short fiber systems. This micromechanics theory is then applied to the prediction of macroscopic thermal residual stresses in a poly(etheretherketone). (PEEK)‐glass. Fiber system, in an effort to determine the influence of crystallinity on residual stress development.
