The effect of elastic nonlinearity on the propagation of Rayleigh waves in an anisotropic elastic solid is considered. A nonlinear integro-differential equation is derived for a quantity which is related to the Fourier transform of the displacement components on the surface. The variation of this qu

We present a comprehensive study of the effects of two counterpropagating surface acoustic waves on the acoustoelectric current of single electron transport devices. A significant improvement in the accuracy of current quantization is achieved as a result of an additional surface acoustic wave beam.
