The ckctronic structure of four oct&cdral transitton metal cyamdcs IS studted by the multiple scattering mokular or-b&d method It IF found that the charge relaxations at ionization from the inner shells of the transition metai ions are small and do not give rlsc to any strong satellites in the ESCA spectrum. It is suggested that the abbsencc of satcIIitcr for a number of other dtdmagncttc complcxcs can be smularly cxp!ained.
