## Abstract A mechanism of highβ__T__~c~ superconductivity related to the perovskite crystal structure is proposed by a βphonon attenuation modelβ, which means that in the perovskiteβlike crystal structure, a number of βorderingβ vacancies or holes occur due to the nonβstoichiometric structure feat
When two bands overlapping on the Fermi level are nearly unstable against the band splitting, two electrons in the same bands should be strongly attractive. This attractive interaction enhanced by the instability is a candidate of the origin of the high T c in the perovskite-type oxides.
