β¦ Synopsis
For Dunnett's (1955Dunnett's ( , 1964) ) procedure of comparing several treatments with a control, a sample size formula is proposed which guarantees the probability of correctly detecting each treatment with mean value sufficiently different from the control mean value. Expressions are provided allowing simple computer evaluation of necessary sample sizes. Some tables of sample sizes are also given.
