โฆ Synopsis
design and constraints are discussed. The detection sensitivity is 0.02% sulphur. A comparison is made between the theoretical performance and experimental results. Use of the technique in the core region of nuclear reactors is described. J Smalley, Vacuum, 27 (9), 1977,555-558. 37 3535. On possibility of quantitative analysis of solids by a mass spectrameter with laser ion source without reference materials. (USSR) On the basis of investigation of processes taking place at laser evaporation and ionization of solids, a highly efficient laser-plasma ion source has been developed which in combination with a mass spectrometer with double focusation can be used for quantitative analysis of solids without utilization of reference materials. Construction of this laser ion source is described.
