## Abstract We present a supervised classification method which represents each class by one or more optimumβpath trees rooted at some key samples, called __prototypes__. The training samples are nodes of a complete graph, whose arcs are weighted by the distances between the feature vectors of thei

## PROBLEM The optimum thrust direction of a rocket fired from a fighter plane pursuing a constant velocity target is determined with a view towards maximizing the initial stand-off. It is shown that for flight in vacua the optimum thrust direction remains constant.
