A few examples of simply connected complex projective threefolds with trivial canonical bundle (that is, Bogomolov-CaIabi-Yau manifolds) are constructed, which are elliptic fibrations over certain rational surfaces. They are obtained as embedded bundles of cubic curves in IF'r or their degenerations
