✦ Synopsis

In this part we consider the dilute surfactant model developed in Part I and construct a variational formulation and mixed ÿnite element scheme to obtain approximate solutions. In particular, we consider the stability regimes identiÿed in the linear stability analysis of Part I and conduct numerical experiments to explore the nature of stability for the approximate solutions in these regimes. Both 1D and 2D simulation results are provided to illustrate the behaviour.
