## Polyethylene glycol-modified urate oxidase (PEG-uricase) holds promise as a hypouricemic agent for treating gout and as an adjunct to cytolytic therapy of hematologic malignancies. Spectrophotometric assays of urate oxidase are not sensitive enough for pharmacokinetic evaluation of PEG-uricase
