Abstract
The aim of the article is to present the description of complex systems in terms of selfβorganization processes of prime integer relations and illustrate its main properties. Based on the integers and controlled by arithmetic only, the processes can characterize complex systems by information not requiring further simplification. This raises the possibility to develop an irreducible theory of complex systems. Β© 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Complexity, 2009

The tunneling effect in multidimensional systems may be greatly influenced by the underlying chaotic dynamics which is generic in more than one-dimensional systems. Aiming at a classical dynamical description of chaotic tunneling, we have developed in the present paper a basic formulation for the co
