✦ Synopsis

From new observational material we made a curve of growth analysis of the penumbra of a large, stable sunspot. The analysis was done relative to the undisturbed photosphere and gave the following results (o denotes photosphere, * denotes penumbra):

(0' -00)exe = 0.051 • 0.007 ~*/~| = 1.3 :t= 0.1

This paper examines the O(n -1=2 ) sampling behaviour of the overdispersion test statistic in a Weibull hazard regression model, under the assumption of locally omitted covariates and in the absence of censoring. Although the O(1) sampling distribution is insensitive to this misspeciÿcation, by reÿn

Dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) was used to quantitate the localized densitometric changes that occur early (0-16 weeks) in a tibial ostectomy model of three different gap widths in 15 dogs. Dogs were divided into three equal groups. A 5-mm (group 1), 15-mm (group 2), or 25-mm (group 3) unila
