## Abstract The 3โ€methylโ€4โ€(tricyclo[5.2.1.0^2,6^]decโ€4โ€enโ€8โ€ylidene)butanโ€2โ€ols (=__Fleursandol__^ยฎ^; __rac__โ€**10**), a new class of sandalwood odorants, were synthesized in their enantiomerically pure forms by use of tricyclo[5.2.1.0^2,6^]decโ€4โ€enโ€8โ€ones **17** and __ent__โ€**17** and (tetrahydro
