The nascent OH rovibrational distribution for the reaction CH4*03+h~266,,,,, + CH3 + OH + Oz are reported. The population ratio betweenthevibrationallevelswasfound tobe u(O)/v( 1) = l.Of0.2 (2a), v( 1)/u(2) =0.67?0.26, and u(2)/u(3) = l.SkO.2; and significant rotational excitation was observed for all vibrational states. The asymmetric lambda doublet is populated to a greater extent than expected statistically, but no measurable spin-orbit propensity was observed. Both the rotational and vibrational distributions are somewhat cooler than those of the analogous 'free' reaction, CH4+ 0 ( 'Dz) -CHs + OH.

The excess molar volumes of {xCH3O(CH2)2OH+(1-x)H(CH2)nO(CH2)2O(CH2)2OH} for n = 1, 2, and 4 have been measured as a function of composition using a continuous-dilution dilatometer at the temperature T=298.15 K. The optical spectroscopic properties of 1-naphthol\*B, clusters (B=H20, D20, CH30H, NH3 and piperidine) have been studied in supersonic molecular beams. Proton transfer to the solvent cluster occurs at n> 2 for B~piperidine and n>4 for B=NH,, while no transfer is observed for B = CH30H up to n z 26,
An octanuclear cluster cation assembled from eight Cu^2+^ ions, ten OH^−^ ions and twelve neutral monodentate __n__‐propylamine moieties is depicted on the cover. Remarkably, this discrete cluster does not contain multidentate ligands to limit its further aggregation. Instead, its controllable forma
