Included in the standard are three formulae to determine incidence rates. Two cover frequency: the incidence rate of total 'recorded cases', or all work-related injuries requiring more than first aid and all occupational illnesses; and an incidence rate of death plus lost workday cases. The third formula, which is an incidence rate of lost workdays, measures severity.
