✦ Synopsis

By “beaten path” I am referring to the well-trodden rut that Christianity has found itself in, especially in the last couple of centuries. We need to get off of this stale modern path and rediscover afresh the faith that actively engaged the world, as light and salt, and not merely entertained it. Or bored it by trying to entertain it, amusing the goats and starving the sheep.

The Jews told Paul they would like to hear more about this new faith of the Christians, Acts 28:20,

“But we desire to hear from you what you think; for concerning this sect, we know that it is spoken against everywhere.”
Our faith today does not get this same response. It is largely ignored as something irrelevant. The fault is not in the message, but is largely in our misunderstanding and miscommunication of the Message.
