## Abstract Single crystals of Ti~2~Rh~6~B were synthesized by arc-melting the elements in a water-cooled copper crucible under an argon atmosphere. The new silver-like compound with metallic luster crystallizes in space group __Fm__-3__m__ (no. 225) with __a__ = 7.8191(5) Å, __V__ = 478.05(5) Å^3^
