โฆ Synopsis
Arrays of particles resembling phytoferritin in size, form and distribution, have been observed associated with lipoidal globules in sporangiophores and developing sporangia of Phycomyces. These particles were relatively electron dense even when staining with lead citrate was omitted.
The iron-protein complex, phytoferritin, first identified in plant material by HrDE et al. (1963), has recently been reported by ROBA~DS and I-IuMP~ERSO~ (1967) to occur as granules, both in ordered "crys-

## Abstract The relaxation mechanism of water protons in the presence of ferritin is still being debated. In this work, the pH dependence of the relaxation induced by ferritin and Fercaylยฎ, a ferritinโlike akaganeite particle, is studied through __T__~1~ and __T__~2~ nuclear magnetic relaxation dis
From Streptomyces chrysomallus variant strains were isolated which inhibited their parent and were autoimmune to the action of the inhibitor (ISRUGEL and F I E D L ~ 1986). Phage-like particles released by these variants as well as by strains of Streptomyces lividans and Streptomyces noursei harbour
