✦ Synopsis
Addition of carbon nucleophiles, such as phenylmagnesium bromide, to isoprene-Mo(CO)2Tp (Tp = hydridotris(l-pyrazolyl)borato), can proceed with excellent regiocontrol, predominantly at the diene terminus remote from the 2-methyl substituent. In contrast to the corresponding cyclopentadienyl complex, their is no reversal of regiochemistry as a result of solvent effects.
