โฆ Synopsis
In the following comniunication are put together the observations upon planets and comets made at the Litchfield Observatory during the last two years. Some of these observations had already been published before, either in the As t r on. N a c h r. or in the C i r c u l a r o f t h e B e r 1 i n 0 b s e r v a t o r y , but in an incomplete form, so that they are repeated here, adopting at the same timo also more correct star places. wires in dark field, power 270, the unit of the number of comparisons with the filar micrometer being: the chronographic record on two wires in right ascension, Nost of the comparisons are made with illuminated I Expedition auf der Kdniglichen Steimwarte bei Kiel. Herausgeber: Prof. D r = , C. A. F. Peterstogether with one pointing in declination by means of the movable wire. The observations with the ringmicrometer, power 120, are distinguished in the column marked ,,No. of Comp.' by r. The unit is here the record of a transit on the outer and the inner edge of the ring observed together ; and always an equal numbel. of comparisons is made north and south of center, symmctrically distributed as to time. In a few instances (-for tlie observations of P r o t o g e n e i a -) a ringmicrometer of Steinheil was used, with the power of about 360. The observed differences in A.R. & Decl. are corrected for refraction where of influence. Rand 90.
