The article proposes a simple C β interpolation of discretized lattice fields on regular and irregular grids. The method is based on localized C β but not analytic basis functions, which vanish outside an open set (region of influence). As a result, the interpolating fields at a point depend exclusi

Abstract
The existence of magnetic fields associated with the intracluster medium in clusters of galaxies is now well established through different methods of analysis. The most detailed evidence for the presence of cluster magnetic fields comes from radio observations. Magnetic fields can be investigated through the synchrotron emission of clusterβwide diffuse sources and from studies of the rotation measure of polarized radio galaxies. I will review efforts to measure magnetic field strengths and power spectra and the main issues that have led to our knowledge on magnetic fields in regular and irregular clusters of galaxies. ## Abstract We propose a model of magneticβfield growth in galaxy clusters whereby the field is ampli.fied by a factor of about 10^8^ over a cosmologically short time of βΌ 10^8^ yr. Our model is based on the idea that the viscosity of the intracluster medium during the fieldβamplification epoch is
