✦ Synopsis


The nuclear quadrupole resonance frequency temperature dependence for a variety of chemical systems is observed to behave linearly in T2 over a wide range of temperatures. This observation leads to the formulation of an empirical master equation. This master equation is used to predict the temperature dependences of a series of model compounds over a wide range of temperature, which were previously fitted to the Bayer model.
