The cost of these plates will prevent the wide, gratuitous distribution of them, that is made of the Annals.

In any case, this would not be advisable, since many would thus be placed where little or no use would be made of them. Copies of this set of photographs, consisting of fiftyfive glass negatives, each eight by ten inches, will be supplied for $ 15.00.

Selected sets of ten plates, $ 3.00. less than the actual cost, the balance being paid from the Advancement of Astronomical Science Fund of the Harvard Observatory. The privilege of increasing the price later is reserved. If the demand justifies it, copies of the second set of plates, whose centres are near the corners of these, will be issued later.
