✦ Synopsis


Structured time of fight spectra of both LA+ and H+ ions scattered from ground state SF6, have been measured at a~gles (5.0° G 19~,,_ C 16.6") less than the rambow angle at I&,,_ = 4.3 eV and 9.7 eV, respectwely. The structure can be attnbuted to vibrational exntatlon of the v-mode by H+ and euxtation of the VA mode by Li'. The relative transition LX&abihtles obey a Poisson distibuuon and can be ev&ined by a simple forced osklator model
