✦ Synopsis
Emission Born the a 31I state to the ground stntc X 'z+ of aluminum monofluoride, AIF, has been observed fk~~n flames produced by reactions of Al with SF,, NF,, and F2. The obscrvcd spectrum confirms the calculated value of Barrow et al. of UK triplet-singlet separation. Pressure dcpendcncc of the emission has been studied and interprctcd in terms of production and quenching processes.

New visible emission systems have been observed from the helium afterglow reaction of SnH 4. On the basis of the rotational analysis, they were interpreted as the a3IIo+-X 1E+ and a3IIi-X 1E+ subsystems of SnH +. Spectroscopic constants have been obtained for the a3IIo + and X 1Z+ states.
