โœฆ Synopsis

New states with invariant masses near 2.32 GeV/c 2 and 2.46 GeV/c 2 have been observed by the BABAR Collaboration using a sample of 91.5fb -1 of e+e -interactions at center of mass energies near 10.6 GeV. These narrow resonances, naturally interpreted as cg mesons, decay respectively to D+lr ยฐ and D+~rยฐ') , and are denoted as the D~j (2317) + and the D~j (2458) +. Their masses, which are considerably lower than expected from potential models, and unexpected decay modes have led to lots of activity, on both the experimental and theoretical sides.
