A series of accidental rhrce-lcvrl double resonances are observed in the non-linear Srark specn-um or "NH, obraincd wirh a CO laser and an in[racavily cell. These are assigned as Doppler-free two-photon absorplions originaling in the n(4.3) ground SKW level and rerrninating in the '217~ + I,," (6.4) level. with an cxnctly resonnnr sl~~(5.3) intermediate s~a~c. These results hnvc importanr implicrnions for elcckc-field strength cnlibralion skmdards and Lx establishing ~nnsrerrable lrequency smndards in thz CO laser region.
