β¦ Synopsis
The aim of this article is to present a numerical model of wear. The original research is that this model is local in space and time and deals with dynamic and large strains applications. The model is based on the Archard's law and coupled with contact and friction conditions. A numerical treatment is proposed and developed in this paper. The solver is a non-linear Gauss Seidel algorithm adapted to wear conditions. The numerical wear model is applied on biomechanics problems, in particular on the simulation of the wear in knee joint prostheses.

## Background: For understanding the relationship between skeletal muscle architecture and muscle function in vivo, the development of accurate geometric models relating muscle length to joint angles is crucial. therefore, a geometric model of the calf of mammals was developed to predict the length
This paper presents a general framework for the formulation of constitutive models that incorporate a localized dissipative mechanism. The formalism of strong discontinuities is employed, allowing for the decoupling of the constitutive characterization of the continuum and localized responses of the
The (11 + I)-dimensional rotationally symmetric sine-Gordon solitons of large radius under potential perturbations are considered by means of perturbation theory. All kinds of dynamical regimes which correspond to various initial conditions and soliton energies are studied in detail. In particular,
